About Us

Jamia Masjid Noor is one of the largest mosques in Huddersfield, and has been running successfully for a number of decades. It was established in 1979 to provide a place of worship for the local Muslim community and has continued to expand and develop over the years.

We pride ourselves on the range of extended services provided at Jamia Masjid Noor. Regular events take place at the masjid, covering levels of basic learning and the five daily prayers, to renowned guest speakers providing lectures on extensive topics.

With a successfully run madrasah comprising of approximately 200 students, children are taught Islamic values and Tajweed to a very high standard and consistently excel in end of year assessments.

Alongside this, we have developed an active and vibrant youth group that runs from the masjid, providing a variety of fun activities and events for different age groups.

We have established excellent links with external organisations and welcome schools and other public bodies to visit and learn about the masjid and the Islamic faith.

Our purpose is to advance the Islamic faith through the provision of a wide range of spiritual, educational and social services enriched with Islamic values.

We continue to develop and expand our masjid and aim to always meet the community needs through the facilities and services we provide.
